On Wednesday, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Emir of Al-Jouf Region, sponsored the graduation ceremony for the 18th cohort of male and female students at Jouf University. The event was attended by the university's president, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, university staff, and the graduates' families. The ceremony took place at the sports stadium in the university city of Sakaka.
Upon the arrival of His Highness at the venue, the national anthem was played, followed by the graduates' procession. His Highness exchanged greetings and congratulations with the graduates.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by student Rayan bin Abdullah Al-Mufarrej. Following this, the graduates' speech was delivered by students Mohammed bin Khaled Al-Eisa and Safana bint Fahd Al-Shammari on behalf of their peers. They expressed their gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz for sponsoring the graduation ceremony, highlighting that this event celebrates the graduates' achievements and their readiness to contribute to the nation's development. They also extended their thanks to the wise leadership for their support in education and to the university president for his guidance and leadership.
Students Turki bin Yasser Al-Ali and Yumna bint Yasser Al-Khalidi then performed a musical operetta to mark the occasion. Following this, the health college students took their professional oath, led by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdulmohsen bin Khaled Al-Mulhim.
His Highness and the attendees watched a video presentation showcasing the university's achievements in various fields. University President Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya then delivered a speech, expressing his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support for education, which has positioned Saudi universities among the world's top institutions. He also thanked the Emir of Al-Jouf Region for his continuous support of the university, appreciating his presence at the ceremony and his encouragement for the graduates.
Dr. Al-Shaya noted that the 18th graduating cohort comprised 4,390 bachelor's degree students and 179 master's degree students. He congratulated the graduates and their families, wishing them success in contributing to the nation's growth. He also thanked the university staff for their dedication and hard work.
The ceremony concluded with His Highness honoring the event's sponsors and receiving a commemorative gift from the university president. His Highness then posed for commemorative photos with the top graduates.
