As Saudi Arabia is going through a transition towards a knowledge economy, comes an urgent need for highly-qualified and competent leaders, no matter how significant are the challenges ahead. Because of this massive change in the economy, Saudi government had established several universities in different regions in the country. This universities play a significant role in building the mindset that could contribute to the kind of knowledge economy we seek.
Likewise, Jouf University is one of the outcomes of the government's coherent policy for human development, which helps to deal with the challenges on our way towards a knowledge economy and sustainable development. The College of Arts comes to have its share in building a promising future for both today's and tomorrow's generations. It is committed to the country's development and its challenges. For this commitment to be achieved, it provides high-quality programs which aim to improve students' skills so for them to be able to take part in the country's development.
It is also committed to stimulating creative thinking, which is the fuel of innovating exceptional projects that are consistent with the 2030 Saudi Vision It also goes in line with objectives of the 2020 national transformation program, the requirements of the institutional accreditation, and the standards of the governmental authority for evaluation and academic certification.
The College of human and administrative sciences was launched in September 2017 with respect to the University role in creating and sharing knowledge to improve performance and quality in different academic aspects. Since then, the College took responsibility of adopting the best educational inputs, supporting quality research and providing the best community service. English language Department and Arabic Language Department used to be part of this college till April 2019 when these two departments joined the College of Arts. Also on the same date, Department of Arts and Department of Sports and Physical Activity were established.
